Data Center Town Hall
Maypearl, Texas - Concerned residents, landowners, and community leaders will gather on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Maypearl Service Club, 210 S. Main Street, Maypearl, Texas, for a public town hall meeting focused on the proposed data center and power generation projects planned near the community.
The meeting is being organized to provide residents with information about the scope of the proposed development, its potential impacts on surrounding property owners, and ongoing efforts to address concerns related to water use, noise, light pollution, traffic, air quality, and the preservation of rural land.
Organizers of the event will include project updates, discussion of state and local regulatory processes, and opportunities for community members to ask questions and share concerns. Representatives from local advocacy groups and affected landowners are expected to provide information on the current status of the project and potential next steps.
The proposed development has generated significant interest throughout Ellis County as residents and elected officials continue to debate the balance between economic development and protecting the character of rural communities like ours.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend.
